AI assistants · MCP connector

Run your event from ChatGPT or Claude

CatMai has a connector for AI assistants. Write what you need in any language and the assistant works directly in your CatMai account: it creates the event, edits the agenda, gives you the links to share and shows you what is happening live.

The connector is included in the Plus (49 RON/month) and Pro (99 RON/month) packages.

You

Create a CatMai event called “Creative Summit” on 12 November in Cluj, with the programme from the email below. I also need the stage screen.

Assistant

I have prepared the event. Please check:

  • 10:00 · Opening
  • 10:15 · Keynote, Ana Pop
  • 11:15 · Coffee break
  • 11:30 · Panel, until 12:15

Public screen and stage screen, 12 November, Cluj-Napoca. Shall I create it?

CatMai · create event

Done. The event is created. Here is the link to your CatMai dashboard and the links for screens and speakers.

What the assistant can do in CatMai

It works with the same data and rules as the CatMai dashboard. You can check and adjust everything it creates in the app at any time.

Before the event

  • Create the event and its agenda in a single message

“Make me an event on 12 November from the programme below.”

  • Edit the agenda: add, move or cancel sessions

“Add a 15 minute break after the keynote and move the panel to 11:15.”

  • Get the links for screens and speakers

“Give me the public screen link and each speaker’s page.”

On the day

  • See what is running now and how much time is left

“Which session is on stage and what comes next?”

  • Send a message to the stage, the team or a speaker

“Tell the speaker on stage they have 5 minutes left.”

After the event

  • Summarise audience questions and poll results

“What were the most upvoted questions in the panel?”

  • See registrations by status

“How many confirmations do I have, and how many people are on the waitlist?”

  • Archive finished events

    “Archive last month’s event.”

How to connect it

It takes a minute. You need a CatMai account with an active Plus or Pro package, and a Claude or ChatGPT account that allows custom connectors.

CatMai server address

https://timesimplify.com/api/mcp

ChatGPT

  1. 1In ChatGPT on the web, open Plugins, press the + button and choose “Add custom MCP server”.
  2. 2Name: CatMai. Under Connection, enter the address above, choose OAuth authentication, tick the risk warning and press “Create as a plugin”.
  3. 3Sign in to CatMai and press “Allow access”. In a conversation, type @CatMai.

In ChatGPT, custom connectors that can create and change data are available on the Business, Enterprise and Edu plans (on Business, a workspace admin adds them). With Pro, ChatGPT can only read. Some accounts call the menu Apps instead of Plugins.

Claude

  1. 1Open Settings → Connectors and choose “Add custom connector”.
  2. 2Name: CatMai. Address: the one above.
  3. 3Press Connect, sign in to CatMai and press “Allow access”.

Other assistants

Any MCP client that supports OAuth uses the same address. For agents that cannot run OAuth, a Super User creates an API key under Settings → Organization administration → API keys for AI agents (read-only access).

You decide. The assistant proposes.

The assistant works for you, under rules set by CatMai rather than by the assistant.

You confirm every change

Before it creates, edits, archives or sends a screen message, the assistant shows you the event and the exact changes and waits for your approval. CatMai marks these actions as changes, so the assistant asks for approval before running them.

It sees only what you see

The assistant works with your account’s permissions, on your organisation’s events only. You approve access once and can revoke it at any time under Settings → AI assistants.

No shared passwords

You sign in on the CatMai website through OAuth. The assistant gets limited access, never your password.

Minimal attendee data

Registrations reach the assistant as counts only, without names or emails. Audience questions come without author identities.

No agenda changes while live

While the event is running, the assistant cannot edit the agenda or archive the event. On stage, you stay in control from CatMai.

Nothing is permanently deleted

The assistant can archive an event but cannot delete it. You restore it from the list of archived events.

Frequently asked questions

Does it cost extra?
No. The connector is included in the Plus and Pro packages at no extra cost from CatMai. Your ChatGPT or Claude account is managed separately, with that provider.
Which assistants work?
ChatGPT and Claude, plus other assistants and agents that support the Model Context Protocol (MCP). They all use the same CatMai server.
Can I write in my own language?
Yes. Write the way you normally speak; session titles and speaker names stay exactly as you wrote them.
What data reaches the assistant?
Only what your request needs: events, agenda, links, registration counts and the text of audience questions. The details are in section 6.1 of the privacy policy.
How do I disconnect it?
In CatMai under Settings → AI assistants, or in the assistant’s connector settings. Access stops immediately.
